A New Shade of Yaris: Yellow Jolt and Carmine Red

Yaris_yellow_jolt_7

A few weeks ago we announced pricing on all three Yaris models (3-Door Liftback, 5-Door Liftback, and Sedan), also letting you know it was getting some new exterior colors. The ‘09 Yaris Sedan will gain the colors Zephyr Blue Metallic and Blue Streak Metallic. Yaris liftbacks will add Yellow Jolt and Carmine Red Metallic to their color palette. We grabbed some shots of the new liftback colors, so click through for the gallery.

Does Toyota has any plans to put a small Diesel engine in the Yaris?

The new hatchback is like a baby Matrix! I looks really nice guys. Good job!

I think it would sound better if the colour was called Jolt Yellow.

Yellow jolt sounds like an energy drink or possibly a mutated bee.

Carmine Red sounds fine.

omg, the new yaris front looks as ugly as the new matrix....glad i bought an 07 yaris....

There's a rumor going around that the five-door will not be available with a manual transmission. Is this true, and if so, why?

Why can't you get an "S" model Hatchback with a manual transmission in California? Isn't that the whole idea of buying an "S" model? And if you buy the basic model with manual transmission there is no Tach?

Ugly? This is the best looking sub-compact in 09! please link me a better looking car. I just wish it wasn't so expensive!

I am glad that Toyota has finally decided to offer the 5 dr. LB to the U.S. market. At my age it makes sense to buy a vehicle with this type of accessibility! I am a professional musician and have several gig rigs to carry to various venues; it is nice to have an economical, reliable vehicle with utlity like this!

Query: The Yaris Sedan S is shown in the print literature in Zephyr Blue Metallic. However, the inside cover page of that same brochure lists footnote #18 as stating : "not available on S". Which is it!?!?!?!?

Back in the 70's Toyota produced the Corolla and a 'sister' vehicle dubbed the Corona. That car was evenually dropped from production and as we all know the Corolla is still with us! Was there ever any intent or desire to re-introduce the Corona back into the U.S. market? If not ,why?
